Google Ads Integration

Connect Google Ads to supercharge your campaign reporting

Integrate your Google Ads account so Service Clarity tracks exactly four things per campaign: campaign name, spend, conversions (as Google reports them), and profit (paid job revenue we attribute to that campaign, minus its spend). No keyword grids, no impression dumps, just the numbers you need to see whether an ad is making you money.

What this integration does

The following capabilities describe how Service Clarity uses the Google Ads API. We only ingest campaign name, spend, and conversions from Google; profit is derived in our application. This narrow surface area is intentional for clarity, performance, and compliance review.

Automated data syncing

On a schedule you configure, Service Clarity refreshes a focused set of Google Ads fields for each campaign: the campaign name, spend, and conversions as reported by Google. No ad group, keyword, impression, or click-level reporting is pulled for this integration.

Campaign-level metrics only

The integration is intentionally narrow. From Google Ads we only retrieve campaign name, spend, and conversions. Profit is calculated inside Service Clarity by comparing attributed paid job revenue (from your jobs and invoices) to spend for that same campaign name, so you see money in versus money out without extra noise.

Visual data aggregation

Those four numbers (campaign, spend, conversions, profit) power dashboards and tables next to your pipeline, so you can see which campaigns fund real work and which ones burn budget.

Closed-loop conversion signals

Upload business outcome events from Service Clarity to Google Ads as conversion actions (for example sell signal, job closed, job paid) with values when configured, so automated bidding can optimise toward paying customers, not only calls or form fills.

Multi-account management (where supported)

On plans that include it, you may connect a Google Ads Manager Account (MCC) to review and filter performance across multiple linked client accounts from a single Service Clarity workspace. Availability depends on your subscription.

Secure, transparent, and compliant

We treat Google Ads data as high sensitivity. Access is designed to be least-privilege, auditable inside your workspace, and revocable by you at any time through Google or through Service Clarity.

OAuth 2.0 authentication

Connection uses Google’s OAuth 2.0 flow. You authenticate with Google; we do not collect or store your Google account password. Tokens are stored securely and can be revoked from your Google Account security settings or by disconnecting the integration in Service Clarity.

What we access and what we do not do

  • Campaign reporting (read): We retrieve only what we display: each campaign’s name, its spend, and its conversions as reported in Google Ads. We do not pull ad groups, keywords, impressions, clicks, search terms, or audience lists for this product surface. Profit is calculated in Service Clarity using your invoiced revenue attributed to that campaign minus that campaign’s spend.
  • Conversion uploads (write): When you enable closed-loop features, Service Clarity sends conversion events and values you configure (for example job paid with invoice amount) to Google Ads so Smart Bidding and reporting in Google can reflect real business outcomes. We only upload events that originate from your use of the product, not arbitrary changes to your Google Ads account.
  • Campaign management: This integration is not designed to change your live campaigns, budgets, bids, or creatives from Service Clarity unless we ship a separate, clearly labelled feature and you explicitly use it. Today, the documented use case is reporting plus conversion signalling as described above.

For full detail on how we collect, use, retain, and share personal and account data (including data received from Google), read our Privacy Policy. How to connect your account

These steps reflect the intended user flow for reviewers and for new administrators setting up the workspace.

  1. 1

Navigate to the Integrations area in your Service Clarity workspace settings.

  2. 2

Click Connect Google Ads (or the equivalent button shown for your account).

  3. 3

You are redirected to Google’s secure sign-in screen. Sign in with the Google user that has access to the Google Ads or Manager account you want to link.

  4. 4

Review the permissions Google displays and click Allow to grant the OAuth scopes required for syncing campaign name, spend, and conversions from Google Ads and for uploading conversions as described on this page.

  5. 5

Select the Google Ads customer accounts you want to import. Service Clarity begins syncing data according to your plan and begins sending conversion signals when you map events in the product.
